Prof. WANG Jingyang, Head of the Advanced Ceramics and Composites Division at the Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science (SYNL). Recently, he has been awarded as a fellow of the American Ceramic Society.
Prof. LU Ke, Director of the Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science (SYNL), has been honored the 2019 Acta Materialia Gold Medal from the Acta Materialia, Incorporated. The award recognizes the outstanding achievements of Prof. Lu to materials science. The Gold Medal will be presented during the 2019 TMS Spring Meeting and Exhibition in San Antonio, Texas.
Prof. ZHANG Jie from the Advanced Ceramics and Composites Division of Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science (SYNL) won the Jubilee Global Diversity Award from the American Ceramic Society (ACerS). She has been invited to deliver a plenary speech entitled “Integrated design of ceramic coatings for accident-tolerant fuel cladding in LWRs” at International Conference and Exposition on Advanced Ceramics and Composites (ICACC) in January, 2019.
On February 7th in the USA, the website of National Academy of Engineering (NAE) released the list of elected academicians of 2018. For discovery of nanotwinned materials and contributions to the advancement of nanostructured materials, Prof. LU Ke was elected as a foreign member of NAE.
On Jan. 18th, the State Council of the People's Republic of China announced the winners of the National Nature Science Award. The fundamental research on the synthesis and applications of high-quality graphene materials carried out by Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science researches Drs. REN Wencai, CHENG Huiming, CHEN Zongping, WU Zhongshuai and GAO Libo was granted the seconded prize.
